Monday's Inspiration -- Resolve
"There is no chance, no destiny, no fate that can circumvent, or hinder, or control the firm resolve of a determined soul."
"There is no chance, no destiny, no fate that can circumvent, or hinder, or control the firm resolve of a determined soul."
The 10 Cannots
You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift.
You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong.
You cannot help the poor man by destroying the rich.
You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred.
You cannot build character and courage by taking away man's initiative and independence.
You cannot help small men by tearing down big men.
You cannot lift the wage earner by pulling down the wage payer.
You cannot keep out of trouble by spending more than your income.
You cannot establish security on borrowed money.
You cannot help men permanently by doing for them what they will not do for themselves.
"Time is our most valuable asset, yet we tend to waste it, kill it, and spend it rather than invest it."
"We can no more afford to spend major time on minor things than we can to spend minor time on major things."
"The greatest definition for concentration I ever heard is, "Wherever our are, be there!"
"You don't get paid for the hour. You get paid for the value you bring to an hour."
"Time is more valuable than money. You can get more money, but you can't get more time."
Jim Rohn
Here are some quotes by Zig Ziglar on the subject of Integrity and Character:
"The quality of a person's life is in direct proportion to his or her commitment to excellence, regardless of his or her chosen field of endeavor.
"Keep your thinking right and your business will be right"
"When a company or an individual compromises one time, whether it's on price or principle, the next compromise is right around the corner."
"What you do off the job is the determining factor in how far you will go on the job."
"When we do more than we are paid to do, eventually we will be paid more for what we do."
Wit in wisdom by Will Rogers:
First, Eventually you will reach a point when you stop lying about your age and start bragging about it.
Second, The older we get, the fewer things seem worth waiting in line for.
Third, Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me, I want people to know "why" I look this way. Ive traveled a long way and some of the roads weren't paved.
Fourth, When you are dissatisfied and would like to go back to youth, think of Algebra.
Fifth, You know you are getting old when everything either dries up or leaks.
Sixth, I don't know how I got over the hill without getting to the top.
Seventh, One of the many things no one tells you about aging is that it is such a nice change from being young.
Eighth, One must wait until evening to see how splendid the day has been.
Ninth, Being young is beautiful, but being old is comfortable.
Tenth, Long ago when men cursed and beat the ground with sticks, it was called witchcraft. Today it's called golf.
And finally, If you don't learn to laugh at trouble, you wont' have anything to laugh at when you are old.

As people, we love to watch those who master something -- anything! Tony Hawk became a millionaire by mastering his skateboard. However, there is something about mastery over music --and a great musical performance -- that really stir our souls. For me, nothing can bring an emotional reaction faster than a masterful musical performance.
For this week's Monday's Inspiration, we're going to look at a very different musical performance. This video is called "Playing for Change", where street musicians around the world, laid down tracks for the same song using a microphone and a computer. The result was amazing -- and inspirational. After watching this, you'll never again walk by a street musician again without a giving generous tip.
No matter who you are,
No matter where you go in life,
You're going to need somebody,
To stand by you.

From Zig Ziglar come these quotes on happiness:
Most of us would be upset if we were accused of being "silly." But the word "silly" comes from the old English world "selig," and its literal definition is "to be blessed, happy , healthy and prosperous."
The chief cause of failure and unhappiness is trading what you want most for what you want now.
Be helpful. When you see a person without a smile, give him yours.
I'm so optimistic I'd go after Moby Dick in a row boat and take the tartar sauce with me.
